Tempurpedic Complaints

Though tempurpedic products on the whole are great, there are some people who have complaints after using tempurpedic mattresses, tempurpedic pillows etc.

Case of a Tempurpedic Complaint

I encountered this webpage about a tempurpedic complaint while surfing the web. It is pretty interesting and I thought I share it with you.

Tempurpedic was verifiably dishonest

I set up the web page in March 2001, after an unsuccessful attempt to return a Tempurpedic mattress (in mint condition) within the stated time frame and after several unsuccessful ensuing attempts to communicate with Tempurpedic representatives. These included phone calls, emails, and a certified letter to the CEO. They finally responded only after learning of my intention to set up the web page. Their responses were verifiably dishonest. My respect for the company's integrity plummeted.

Last night my dr told me to get a contour neck pillow cause he thinks I have a pinched nerve in my neck. So I bought a small Swedish Therapy Tempurpedic pillow from Bed Bath and Beyond in Queens, NY. When I took the pillow out of the box I noticed a harsh chemical smell which gave me a headache. Then I unzipped the pillowcase so I could wash it. To my disgust the pillow was loaded with small black bugs. I immediately took it back to the store where the manager inspected it with gloves. She was appalled. Then she wrote stinks and bugs on the box and put it under the counter. They did not take down the remaining Tempurpedic pillows down and I feel so bad for someone who may buy the pillow and not unzip it, go to sleep with it and get bugs in their bed. The bag was sealed and the box was never opened. This was not a returned item so I feel the bugs came from the Tempurpedic factory. If you buy any pillow always take off the top cover if it comes with one to inspect the actual pillow. So glad I did.
